The male house
finch keeps a good eye on all the surroundings. He is on the
outer edge of the tree where the female is working. This
same couple raised their young in this tree the year before.
Now the female is robbing the old nest of good materials that will
be used in building her new home in another tree nearby.
Later in the 2006 season, two mourning doves will come and make
their nest in the very same spot in this tree and raise their new
family. |
