Faith in God changes everything.
Faith in God brings us to the Lord Jesus Christ, who lives
forever and who gives eternal life to all who trust in Him.
Faith in God makes us wise when the whole world is following a
lie and empty delusions. Faith in God gives us courage to
die and to live for Jesus. And it gives us laughter when
others are afraid, light in the darkness to show the way, and
freedom from the dread of death. Faith in God changes
everything.
The Bible says:
"But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who
formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have
called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through
the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they
shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall
not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I
am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.'"
(Isaiah 43:1-3, NSRV)
When we trust in God, we can face any kind of difficulty.
Even death itself. We can do this because God is with us.
We do not simply believe that He is with us, or try to imagine
that He is with us, we know it because He makes His Presence
very evident.
Daily life is transformed by faith in God. Instead of
living in darkness and sorrow, we face each new day with
confidence and hope. We know that our God goes with us and
that He will provide all that we need. Such trust in God
is learned over time, as we walk each day in the goodness of our
God.
I have been in many circumstances and in many places. I
have traveled across the United States many times, in all kinds
of vehicles. I can tell you that the Lord keeps those who
put their trust in Him. He protects those who commit
everything to His care. He hears the prayers of His
people, and He makes a way when there is no way, and causes His
people to rise above every difficult circumstance.
Jesus Christ is a true Shepherd. He cares for the sheep of
His pasture. All who trust in the Lord will be rescued
from the crushing circumstances of life. They will be kept
by His power, by His promises, by His compassion and goodness.
