Jesus is the way to heaven. He
is the only way to heaven. No one will enter heaven's
gates except through Jesus Christ. Old Testament saints as
well as New Testament saints must enter in through Jesus Christ.
This is because Christ and Christ alone paid the price for sin
on the cross.
Now, there are many theological
expressions and arguments used among Christian believers to
explain and describe all that Jesus did for lost humanity when
He died on the cross for sins. But the important thing is
that Jesus died for you, for me, and for all the people of this
world.
The Bible always says it best: For
God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life. (John 3:16)
The point is simple: If you have
Jesus Christ as your own savior, then you have eternal life.
This fact is also best expressed in the Holy Bible, by the
Spirit of God.
Scripture says, "And this is the
record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is
in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that
hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I
written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may
believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:11-13)
If you allow yourself to be taught
by God then you will become a follower of Jesus Christ, as the
Lord Himself said in John 6:44-45: "No man can come to me,
except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise
him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets,
'And they shall be all taught of God.' Every man therefore
that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto
me."
There are many false teachers active
in the world these days, and too many false religions (called
cults) pretending to be Christian in origin. Some of them
are very popular and very aggressive in their propagation, so
they have confused and deluded millions of truly sincere people.
You will be able to recognize them because they give Jesus
Christ an inferior place in their dogma. No prophet is
more significant in the Bible's gospel message than Jesus
Christ, and no other name exists under heaven (Acts 4:12)
whereby we must be saved.
If you are being told that Jesus is
anything (or anyone) less than the eternal God who was made
human flesh (see the first chapter of John's Gospel), or that
you must believe or worship in some other name, other than
Christ Jesus, then you are being deceived men and women who do
not know God. Read the Bible and follow its teachings.
Trust in Jesus, Scripture says, and you will be saved (Acts
16:31).
It is better to know and follow God
all alone than to follow winsome men and women into eternal
darkness. God has many in this age who know Him and love
Him. They may not always be the brightest people or the
most winsome. But if they know and love Jesus Christ, then
they are on the path of eternal life.
