Christmas is my favorite time of the year because I love to hear all the old carols that testify again to the glory of God in Jesus Christ.  The Son of God became a human child, was sheltered not in a palace but in a stable, and placed in a manger, and was welcomed by men of the fields, and wise men from the east, and the singing of holy angels.  Praise God for His great kindness in bringing His own perfect light into a world once shrouded only in darkness and despair.
