We have seen the light. That's
what we say when we talk about our new relationship with Jesus
Christ. The light of Jesus as Messiah, the light of God's
great truth about life and death, sin and salvation. Jesus
died on the cross to save people from their sins. The
message of that death, that cross, that sacrifice for sin, is
the message of eternal life; it is a great beacon of light
— of truth — that shines right into and through the darkness.
All who believe what God says about Jesus will be saved.
It's that simple. The preaching of the cross is
foolishness to those intent on rejecting God (they will perish
in their sins). But it is life and light to all who
believe God, to all who embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior.
