The Universe: Is it all Chance or God's own Creation? - Free Christian Graphic

Original Christian artwork: Joey and Christian Mouse ponder the mysteries of the universe. The universe did not create itself. Life did not simply spring from a dirty pond and a lot of cosmic fireworks. We are the special creation of God and not merely offspring of the stars, as some scientists claim. Just as any child can see the nakedness of an emperor who wears no clothes, so also we should be able to tell that the incredible and beautiful wonders of this universe are not the products of mere accident or chance. Beauty does not just happen. Order in the midst of chaos does not just happen. Oh, yes, we can find many examples of order in the universe, but not because it is going to occur on its own. We find order in every incidence of apparent chaos because God designed and created all things. No storm exists in any season without the amazing order of thermal differences and wind and even electrical charges. The atmosphere is alive with order and that order always has an aim: to restore the balance in the very air. Rain and snow, dry season and winter, all these are part of an amazing mechanism that keeps the earth fit for life. Mere blind science cannot see this, but so what? It is not necessary for science to see the higher cause or reason. Faith, on the other hand, can see the hand of God in the design and perpetual functioning of the mechanism. Children are surrounded by the wonders of life and color and sound and smell and taste. They do not know why everything is here. We have the opportunity to point out the obvious and the true. By giving each child a solid ground of faith based on truth, we actually help them to understand the logical nature of our world. This planet was created for our habitation, as the Scripture says. And all the heavens around us are part of the great mechanism that God prepared for physical living beings. It is human to wonder and ponder, to study and learn and figure things out. It is human to understand our natural surroundings. God created us in His own image. It pleases Him for us to discover truth and to trust Him for all that we as yet cannot comprehend. There is no evil in searching for right answers. There is wisdom in careful observation and calculation. Knowing that winter will always come back around, for example, helps us to better prepare in the growing seasons. God urges us toward wisdom and careful decision-making. The Bible itself is a great book of truth. Even though it is not a science text, per se, it is nevertheless a faithful of important facts, some of which are physical and historical facts. The man who rightly understands who God is, knows that He is our Creator. God made the universe and all that fills it. Nothing exists, the Bible says, that was not made by Him. And the "Him" spoken of in this passage (see the first chapter of John's Gospel), is not the Father, but His eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the eternal Word, the faithful expression of all that the Father is. This very Word became flesh and blood and lived among us as the man Jesus. There are religions (false ones) that claim that the Bible raises questions that it does not answer. These religions then point to other books, false books that corrupt the truth about God and point to a false Messiah. Some of these false religions claim to be Christian. Others are Eastern in origin. All false religions confuse truth with the ideas of mortal men. The problem with such confusion is that men's minds are too small to comprehend, on our own, the awesome truths of God. Every false religion ends up with weak gods, little gods, broken wells that hold no life-giving water. Only God's own revelation of Himself provides us with the life we need in order to be made complete as spiritual beings. Jesus Christ is the perfect revelation of God. Jesus gives life and forgiveness and truth to all who come to Him. When we point children to Jesus (and not to mere religion or religious instruction and tradition), we are showing them the way to eternal life. Jesus made the worlds and Jesus makes us complete as spiritual beings. Jesus gives us life without measure, eternal and endless — forever. Children can see with innocent eyes that the universe is too great to have simply evolved from nothing at all. Even an atheist should know that nothing cannot produce something, no matter how many billions of endless eons you allow give it. A child has far less trouble grasping the obvious truth. When we teach them the basics that are plainly given to us in Holy Scripture, we give them a foundation of practical wisdom that goes far beyond the religions and philosophies of a dark and delusional world. The child that begins with God's truth has a far better opportunity to build on wisdom throughout life.
