The Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)
©2010 GospelGifs Graphic depicting the message of Scripture in Ephesians 6:10 through 18 - Put on the whole armor of God. With this admonition, the Apostle Paul tells us briefly what we need to be using each day to be able to take our stand with Jesus Christ against the powers of darkness that struggle against God & His truth. Here's the thing too many Christian believers never quite understand: We are at war. We do not fight against flesh & blood, Paul says, but against principalities & powers, rulers of darkness, whole armies of wickedness in heavenly places. If we show up for battle without the armor & weaponry God has given us, we are going to end up defeated. And by "defeated" I don't mean that we won't feel good, I mean we are going to get beaten down, wounded, hurt by the enemy. God provides us with a helmet, a breastplate, waist armor, foot armor, a powerful shield and a sword that cuts right through every attack of evil. Study the Scriptures, pray fervently, trust in God to seal & keep you, know & use the truth, share the gospel of peace, stand in faith, recalling all that God has already done for you. Be ready because your enemy will come at you with all he can muster. But God is greater. In Christ we can do & stand anything.
